Annual Meeting 2018 – Update

By | January 10, 2018
The LWHOA annual meeting will take place on Jan. 18, 7 p.m. at the FSU Credit Union, Sharer Road. There will be the treasurer’s report for 2017, the proposed budget for 2018, and a proposed list of board members to be elected. There will be a special presentation at the meeting concerning community actions and resources to handle disasters and other disruptions.

The Association is in good financial condition. Expenses were within budget for all items and there is a healthy contingency fund. Therefore, the Board has voted to rebate $15 to each homeowner this year, making dues for 2018 to be $150.    Article 33 of the Covenants & Restrictions authorizes the board to reduce the assessment if the financial condition permits. This action applies only to this year and will be reviewed by the board prior to the next annual meeting. The annual assessment may be paid at the meeting but at least before April 1.

The proposed budget increases funds for beautification and maintenance and slightly decreases funds needed for utilities. Note that the two categories of maintenance and beautification previously separate have been combined, since there often is no clear distinction between these.
